This DIY project brings together two of our favorite things: monograms and flowers. And with a wedding in your future, this is one of our favorite (and rare) stress-free projects you and your bridesmaids can easily put together! One of our most inquired about flower projects is floral monograms, so we couldn’t be more excited to share our DIY project for any crafty bride-to-be.
While using, fresh flowers is always an option, we love opting for faux flowers. As a bride, you don’t need anything else to worry about, especially wilting wall décor! We recommend picking up silk flowers at your local florist, a craft store, or even online. Additionally, by using faux flowers, these monograms will stand the test of time and can be used long after you’ve said your I Dos. Save them to use as elegant home decor, or maybe even down the line…as baby shower decor!
Floral monograms can be designed to match any bridal color palette, perfect for any last-minute changes (which we all know is inevitable!). Design your floral monogram to match your soon-to-be initials, Mr. and Mrs., or even the date of your ceremony. We love placing the monograms on the guest book table, hanging as reception décor, or at the newlywed's table. No matter what design choice you opt for, floral monograms add a cheerful touch to the ceremony.
- Chipboard letter or cardboard cutout of your choice
- Hot Glue Gun
- Scissors
- Faux flowers of your choice
- Cut the stems off the flowers so you are only left with the head. We suggest using a variety of colors and sizes. Smaller flowers tend to stick better and don't hang over the edge of the letter too much.
- Glue the flowers to the chipboard, filling as much space as possible. Be sure to use a hot glue gun otherwise, the glue takes too long to dry and you will be left with a mess.
- Let the glue dry, trying not to move it until all the flowers are secure.
- Find a spot to hang your floral monogram!
