Why We Love It
Whether it’s their signature scent or stunning appearance, lilies perfectly capture the essence of spring.Traditionally, lilies feature a large bloom, however, there are so many unique varieties and colors that are perfectly suited to any occasion! We typically use asiatic lilies as they have multiple blooms on each stem. Expert tip! When choosing your blooms look for a bunch with buds that are just about to open.
Care Instructions
Lilies have delicate stems — too much pressure, and they can snap! Make sure to remove all of the leaves so they do not touch the water. Additionally, remove an inch from each stem’s base at a diagonal cut.
Be careful, there are pollen covered stamens in the middle of the flower that can easily stain your clothes and counter tops. Take your clippers and remove each one, catching them in a paper towel, as the flowers bloom.
Display your bouquet away from heat sources, and make sure to change the water once or twice a week. If your lilies are looking lackluster feed them half of a typical dosage of flower food. When properly cared for lilies can last up to two weeks in a vase!
