DIY Rose Petal Bath Salts

January 25, 2017

Chilly temperatures and shorter days are the perfect recipe for the wintertime blues. At Alice's Table we're always looking for ways to unplug and relax after the hectic days the startup life brings.

This quick (5 minutes or less!) bath salt recipe gives you the best of both worlds. Known for it's antidepressant and youthful skin-creating qualities, rose essential oil will help you wash away the signs of winter weather stress. Simultaneously, epsom salts will leave your skin feeling light and renewed, ready to embrace the rest of your work week.

While we love whipping this up for a mid-week escape, it also makes the perfect gift for any gal pal (Galentines Day...hint hint). So, light some candles, grab your book, and slip into a dreamy wintertime bath.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of rose petals
  • 1 cup of epsom salts
  • 1/3 cup of baking soda
  • Rose essential oil

Directions

  1. Combine the epsom salts and baking soda and stir well.
  2. Add 15-20 drops of rose essential oil and stir again.
  3. Add in rose petals and combine gently.
  4. Separate into glass jars
