Spokane Eats: Alice's Table Spokane

June 17, 2018

Washington State Blogger, Chandler from Spokane Eats, recently attended a local Alice's Table event and shared her experience on her blog.

A few weeks ago we sat down and sipped on some fruity Bellini’s at Nectar Catering and Events while learning all about Alice’s Table and the empowered community of women it brings together. This unique experience gives you and your girlfriends (another) reason to get together, sip on some drinks, and learn a new skill: the art of floral design. After learning from the experienced ladies at Alice’s Table, you’ll be creating stunning arrangements for your own home in no time!

We got to design and create these beautiful arrangements full of fresh cut hydrangeas, pink roses, and many other flowers. Did ya’ll know hydrangeas take water from the top!? I had no idea. Apparently you should spray the flowers daily (or multiple times per day) to extend their life. We also learned that you should cut the stems at an angle and take off all the leaves that would sit in the water. I’m no florist but after learning so many tips from Alice’s Table I feel more confident about keeping fresh flowers around the house alive for more than a couple of days. My bouquet lasted almost two weeks!

Our arrangements were overflowing with gorgeous, high-quality blooms. The girls at Alice’s Table are careful when purchasing the flowers for these workshops and hand select the best of the best so you can be sure that you are getting your money’s worth.
