Summer was packed with anticipated restaurant openings. Considering I always love to try new places, I hit as many as possible. Here are a few of my favorites, with some must tries along the way. Enjoy!
Boston Public Market
This indoor, all seasons farmers market has finally opened its doors after 15 years in the making. From prepared foods, meats, fresh local veggies, and ice cream, there is a little something for everyone.
Tips: Try an off-peak time to miss the crowds. Pick up a picnic and dine on the nearby Greenway.

Hojoko
Amidst the Japanese pop culture paraphernalia including an old Pac-Man machine, an offering of sushi, snacks, and sake by the O Ya team awaits. Hojoko is undoubtedly the most anticipated opening of the year and is not to be missed.

Bayan Bar & Refuge
As most of you know, the legendary Hamersley’s Bistro closed its doors in 2014. While the famous roast chicken, still trying to recreate the recipe, has become a memory of the past, the Gallows team has partnered up with Phillip Tang of East by Northeast to bring the South End an Asian gastropub.
Favorite Dish: Lobster buns
Favorite Cocktail: Sad Panda
Worden Hall
The Five Horse Tavern team has opened its latest project in Southie. Think deep-dish pizza, beer, and whiskey…lots of whiskey.
