Cara Pelletier
ABOUT CARA
After spending almost five years working for Hershey Entertainment & Resorts in her hometown, Cara transferred to Hotel Hershey to work in The Circular Dining Room. During her ten-year tenure, she was a captain, mixologist and assistant sommelier. Having a great mentor dedicated to wine helped lay the foundation for a career in this portion of the industry. Cara relocated to Telluride, Colorado where she accepted a seasonal floor sommelier position at Telluride Ski Resort's renowned restaurant Allred's. She spent three seasons here before coming in contact with master sommelier, Dennis Kelly. As an alumnus of The French Laundry, Dennis and his partner Anthony Secviar hired Cara to help run their first restaurant, Protégé, in Palo Alto, California. Here, she built the beverage program and became the sommelier. Cara was a part of the opening team that achieved their Michelin Star within the first year.
