Rumor has it that in 1939, Mrs. Florida Lasier of Chicago snagged her silk stockings on a blackberry bramble while exploring the Smoky Mountain foothills of Tennessee, and Blackberry Farm was born. Seventy-nine years later, my husband George and I took a trip to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and were lucky enough to explore the beauty that made Mrs. Lasier fall in love. And so, in typical Alice fashion, a floral collection was born.
Our fall collection captures the unparalleled beauty of the Tennessee Hills. Each recipe exudes a distinct southern charm, beautifully combined with a light, bright, and fresh aesthetic. You’ll notice that each recipe is named after a woman: some are fictional, some you may know - each has a story.
While designing these recipes, I realized that there is nowhere like Tennessee in the fall. George and I savor the time that we spent there late last year, and are already planning to take our baby girl one day.
Near or far from the state, I hope this collection allows you to experience the magic of Tennessee that I have grown to know and love.
