At The Table with Kathryn and RossMarch 20, 2017
Meet the (soon-to-be) husband and wife team, who brought Alice's Table to California's Central Coast! Between running a business, working a 9 to 5 job, and planning a wedding, this dynamic duo is filled with passion, creativity, and fun! Get to know our execs, Kathryn and Ross!
First things first
...why did you both decide to join the Alice's Table Event Exec program?
We decided to do the Alice's Table Event Exec program because we thought it would be a great way to add to our income on our own time and have fun doing it. Alice's Table has such amazing resources that allow us to be successful. We have fun bringing people together to have a great time and create something beautiful, so it's so worth it!
We'd love to know, what's a moment that you've felt confident and proud as Alice's Table Event Execs.
At our first event we were mostly surrounded by people we knew, but someone had signed up that we didn't know at all, and she sat at the very front. She was so delightful and keen to learn about flowers, and meet new people. It was so awesome, because that's exactly what we want! Her flower arrangement was gorgeous, and we made a new friend -- our favorite thing
What would you tell someone who is thinking about joining AT and needs that extra boost?
There may be prep work in contacting businesses and attendees, but you won't find another company like this -- Alice's Table gives you all the resources to be your own boss and sets you up for success quickly and easily. Leading the workshop is honestly so much fun, and it is so worth it to see how excited people get when they see what they've created.
Flower: Ross loves white roses, and Kathryn
Cocktail: Ross loves Irish mules, and Kathryn loves Pisco sours.
Entertaining tip: Always bring extra aprons. We've had other guests spill wine on others by accident and they totally appreciate swapping them out. No ruined photo ops :)
Thing to do in your city: California's Central Coast is such an amazing place to go wine tasting, the beach, and hiking. As Bostonians turn Californians, we can't get enough of the year-round gorgeous weather! San Luis Obispo also shuts down their main downtown street and opens up a farmer's market EVERY Thursday. There's a reason it's called the Happiest City in America!
